4 (même étymologie que kingatsa ). Nom surtout donné de nos jours à : Crinum asiaticum L. (Amaryllidaceae) couramment cultivé pour l'ornement des jardins (C. defixum Ker-Gawl que cite Malzac est un simple synonyme). Grandidier a signalé l'emploi de son bulbe, cependant très toxique, pour traiter la syphilis. Le jus qu'on en exprime hâterait la cicatrisation des lésions secondaires. [Merina]
