excess (an)   
amby ~ excess, surplus, the thing over. It is much used in counting, as, roa amby ny folo, two in excess of ten, hence twelve. In the provinces we have folo roa amby, and so with all the other numbers. It was also used formerly in repeating numbers in the ceremony of circumcision, as, isa amby roa, one and two; roa amby roa, two and two. ~ excess, surplus
