Wherefore the Lord said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

Ka dia hoy Jehovah tamin' i Solomona: Satria efa tonga ao am-ponao izao, ka tsy notandremanao ny fanekeko sy ny didiko izay nandidiako anao, dia hendahako ho afaka aminao tokoa ny fanjakana ka homeko ny mpanomponao.

Ka hoy Iaveh tamin' i Salomona: Noho izao fitondran-tenanao izao, ka tsy mba nitandrina ny fanekeko sy ny lalako izay nandidiako anao hianao, dia hotsoahako marina tokoa eo an-tànanao ny fanjakana, ka omeko ny mpanomponao.

Alors Yahvé dit à Salomon : " Parce que tu t' es comporté ainsi et que tu n' as pas observé mon alliance et les prescriptions que je t' avais faites, je vais sûrement t' arracher le royaume et le donner à l' un de tes serviteurs.
